Water color donated to the Library

The Library was recently given a water color of the Depot and the American Legion, painted by Washington Artist Earl Rae in 1975. Mr. Rae lived in Washington, IA from 1963 - 1980. He obtained a fine arts degree from Drake and was the first local artist to be exhibited at the Washington Public Library. Mrs. Carolyn Bollman of Washington purchased this water color at the Goodwill store in Washington. She recognized this as something that belonged in Columbus Junction and we thank her for thinking of the Columbus Junction Public Library.Earlrae.jpg.JPG
