Circulation Limits

Limits on check-outs, fines, etc.

The Columbus Junction Public Library no longer assesses fines for items returned late. The library asks that you call to renew items and/or return as timely as possible. Fees are still assessed for lost or damaged items. Patrons in good standing (with no fees associated with their account, or making payment arrangements) are still able to check out items. Those with significantly overdue items will not be able to check out items until late items are returned.

Books, magazines, and audio books have a check out period of two weeks with no limit as to the number of items checked out at any one time. DVDs have a check out period of one week with a maximum of 12 items checked out at any one time.
