250th Celebrations in Louisa County

A tremendous thank you to the Community Foundation of Louisa County for their generous support of this project!

Louisa County is excited to celebration in the nation's 250th birthday with a focus on local attractions and events! Linked below is the Louisa County passport, available at county libraries as well! Louisa County residents are invited to explore whatever interests them!

Passports include:

*250 hour challenge - spending 250 hours outdoors, reading, or volunteering. Keep track of each hour spent doing those activities and return the passport to your library prior to 12/31/2026 to be entered into the prize drawing!

*26 Books for 2026 - using the 26 prompts available, try to read as many books as you can this next year to celebrate America!

*Local attractions and events list - use this to track where you've been and where you still have left to visit! Attractions are organized by topic, and most have very little to no cost associated with them.

*Follow Conservation and the 4 Louisa County Libraries to participate in events that have yet to be scheduled. To tease what's coming this year, there are cemetery walks, book clubs, Founding Mothers presentations, and more!

Printing instructions:

Print PDF double-sided along the long edge. Three total pages are needed per passport. Cut all three pages together, across the middle left to right (there's a gray line of slashes to guide you). Place the top stack of pages on the bottom stack and fold in half. Your passport should be complete now!

Passports available all Louisa County Libraries!
