Welcome to the Columbus Junction Public Library!

The library continues to be open Monday-Friday 10 am - 4 pm, and Saturdays from 9-noon. Please feel free to call to schedule an appointment, as we continue to limit the library to 10 patrons at any one time. This allows patrons to safely browse or utilize the computers while remaining socially distant. We ask that visits are kept to an hour to ensure that we're able to have everyone visit each day who would like to. All staff are required to wear masks, and free masks are available for patrons who wish.

That being said, we will NOT be resuming our Wednesday afternoon activities when school resumes. Unfortunately, there is not a good way to maintain social distancing or complete the additional cleaning that needs to be done following patron use of equipment. As always, our concern is providing library services in as safe a manner as possible for all patrons and staff. For right now, that means the decision to not provide any in-person programming, not having as many public computers available (so users can distance themselves from each other), and not having toys available in the children's room.

If you've visited on a Wednesday pre-COVID, you've seen the excitement, energy, and enjoyment - we want to make sure that's what we can return to when we resume our Wednesday activities! The library and the board of trustees continue to evaluate community data and suggestions from state and federal sources in order to continuously make changes to the operations of the library.
